Turner Field Stadium Neighborhoods Livable Centers Initiative Plan - Outstanding Planning Process
A sweeping plan to reconnect 1,700 acres and five neighborhoods surrounding Turner Field with new student housing, parks and transit is headed for a series of public meetings, ramping up one of the city’s largest-ever urban renewal projects.
Despite the 2012 T-SPLOST defeat, MARTA and its regional partners are actively pursuing the Clifton Corridor Transit Initiative, a proposed light rail line that would link the Lindbergh and Avondale Stations and provide relief to one of Atlanta’s most congested job centers.
